Identity theft occurs when an outsider steals our personal information like bank details, Email-id and password, to commit crimes or to use our identity to perform illegal activities.


Types of identity theft

  • Criminal identity theft (posing as an another person when caught for anything illegal)

  • Financial identity theft (using an another person’s identity so that they can obtain their credit, loans and earnings.)

  • Identity cloning (using an another person’s information to pose as his or her identity in everyday life)

  • Medical identity theft (using a person’s identity to get medical care)

  • Child identity theft ( focusing to loot from a child until they are an adult)




How to prevent identity theft?

  4. Avoid using public networks

  5. Do not click on random links.

  6. Do not attend spam calls.

  7. Do not share your personal and credit details on websites that are not secure.
